I took part in Jean-François’s new album on two tracks: one with Les Mercenaires du terroir, and the other alongside Stéphanie Lépine, André Brunet, Guy Bouchard, and of course Jean-François Bélanger.
Across the album, Jean-François composed tunes specifically crafted for performers and ensembles rooted in Quebec traditional music. This work is carried out with masterful skill, both in the finesse of the compositions and in the respect for—and enhancement of—the unique musical colors of each artist.
