Week in Brittany as a Modal Music Instructor
During the first week of March 2026, I had the chance to be invited to Brittany as a guest instructor in modal music, working with two groups as part of the Parcours Musique Modale and the Kreiz Breizh Akademi. During the week, we explored together some aspects of Québécois traditional fiddle that I’m particularly passionate about: modality, different modes, and the unique colors found in the playing of many fiddlers. Opus Awards Gala: A Great Recognition for Vieux Airs neufs
I had the great pleasure of accompanying my friend David Brunelle to the Opus Awards Gala , where his album Vieux Airs neufs was nominated for Album of the Year . While we didn’t take home the trophy, the nomination itself is a huge achievement. I am particularly proud of this project we built together; I had the privilege of supporting David in his artistic choices as well as recording the entire album.
